Kehelbaddara Padme, Four Others To Be Produced In Court Today
Sri Lanka Police states that they will present a report to court today regarding the five organized criminals, including Kehelbaddara Padme, who were arrested in Indonesia and later repatriated to Sri Lanka.
Detention orders are expected to be obtained to facilitate further questioning.
Kehelbaddara Padme, Commando Salintha, and Panadura Nilanga are currently held by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), while Thambili Lahiru and Backhoe Saman are in the custody of the Western Province North Crime Division.
The suspects were arrested in Indonesia the on the 29th of August in a joint operation carried out by the Sri Lanka Police, Indonesian Police, and Interpol.
Meanwhile, police said that Backhoe Saman’s wife, who was taken into custody by the CID, will continue to be questioned.
