Western Province Records Most Police Complaints in First Half of 2025
The National Police Commission reports that 1,437 public complaints were received in the first half of this year, with the Western Province recording the highest number at 643.
The Southern Province reported 188 complaints, followed by 142 from the North-Western Province and 112 from the Sabaragamuwa Province.
The Commission noted that 1,294 of these complaints remain under investigation.
