
Postal Ballot Papers Marked Over Past Two Days To Be Transported By Election Officials
The National Election Commission says sealed packages containing postal ballot papers, marked on April 24th and 25th, will be transported by election officials.
NEC Chairman R. M. A. L. Rathnayake says the decision was made to ensure faster transportation of the packages.
He added that once sorted in Colombo, the sealed ballot papers will be redistributed to the respective districts.
The Commission also confirmed that postal ballots marked on April 24th and 25th have already been handed over to district returning officers.
