PUCSL Sets Deadline for CEB's Tariff Revision Proposal

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has informed the Ceylon Electricity Board that if the tariff revision proposal is not submitted by December 6, consumers will receive concessions under the charge structure.

This decision follows a request from the CEB for a two-week extention to submit the proposal.

Issuing a statement, the Public Utilities Commission said that the Ceylon Electricity Board must provide immediate relief to consumers.

The PUCSL also reminded that the CEB had previously requested extensions on two occasions to prepare the tariff revision proposal, which has now been delayed by a month.
