President AKD thanks voters for landmark election victory
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has expressed gratitude to voters for delivering a historic victory in the general election.
The President conveyed his thanks through a note posted on his ‘X’ account, stating, “Thank you to all who voted for a renaissance!”
In the 2024 general election held on November 14, the National People’s Power (NPP) secured a landmark victory, winning 159 seats in the parliament.
