Drug Smuggler Nadin Basik Arrested at BIA
Nadin Basik, a notorious drug smuggler, has been apprehended by the Police Special Task Force (STF) at Katunayake Airport.
Basik was arrested while attempting to return to Sri Lanka after hiding in Dubai.
Nadin Basik is the son of Shiran Basik, a well-known drug trafficker.
The younger Basik has been on the run following an incident in which he endangered a Police Special Task Force officer during a raid at an apartment complex in Wellawatta.
During the raid, Nadine Basik managed to escape, leading to an extensive manhunt.
The STF successfully intercepted Basik at the airport, bringing an end to his evasion.
