Road Development Authority Chairman Resigns Citing Undue Interference

Chairman of the Road Development Authority, C.P. Athuluwage has resigned from his position.

In his resgination letter to the secretary of the president, he cited undue influence from the secretary to the ministry of transport and highways, as the reason for his resignation.  

He went on to note that in light of this undue influence, he is unwilling to continue his current position.

Copies of the resignation letter have also been sent to the Minister of Transport and Highways and the Auditor General's Department.
