PLA Expanding Overseas Military Presence, Warns US Intelligence!
US Intelligence has warned that China's PLA is expanding its overseas military presence.
The 2024 Annual Threat Assessment Of The U.S. Intelligence Community says that China's Peoples Liberation Army or the PLA is continuing to pursue the establishment of overseas military installations.
It added that the PLA is moving towards access agreements in an attempt to project power and protect China’s interests abroad.
The 2024 Annual Threat Assessment Of The U.S. Intelligence Community says that Beyond developing its military base in Djibouti and its military facility at Ream Naval Base in Cambodia, Beijing reportedly is considering pursuing military facilities in multiple locations, including—but not limited to—Burma, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Pakistan, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Tanzania, and the UAE.
