PUCSL to Discuss Electricity Tariff Reduction..
The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) announced that it will convene on Wednesday (28th) to discuss the proposed reduction in electricity tariffs.
This revision comes after an increase implemented in October 2023.
According to PUCSL Chairman Professor Manjula Fernando, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has submitted a proposal seeking to lower the current rates.
The CEB previously announced that the new proposal aims to reduce electricity bills by nearly 20 percent. The PUCSL's decision on the proposed revision is expected after their meeting tomorrow.
