Thundershowers expected tonight (6) - Met Department.
Sri Lanka's Met Department forecasted showers or thundershowers over most provinces of the island.
Heavy showers about 100mm are likely at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and North-central provinces, it added.
Several spells of showers can be expected in coastal areas of Western Province and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning too.
Misty conditions can be expected in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces during the morning.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
