Two Tuskers have died in two separate incidents in Karuwalagaswewa and Sevanuwara.
Two Tuskers have died after being electrocuted in two separate incidents in the Karuwalagaswewa and Sevanuwara in the Puttalam district.
According to local reports, the lifeless Tuskers were discovered on private lands.
The Tuskers who died were Valagamba and Vasula.
Police have recorded statements from the landowners in connection to the incidents.
The deaths of these Tuskers have raised concerns about human-elephant conflict in the area.
Meanwhile, a father and daughter had also died after being electrocuted in Pussellawa last week.
