Digital electricity bills from July 1st.
The Ceylon Electricity Board said the pilot project to introduce digital electricity bills will commence on the 1st of July.
CEB General Manager Rohan Seneviratne said the pilot project will be implemented in Dehiwala, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte and Kelaniya.
A summary of the monthly electricity bill will be sent to the customer's mobile phone.
Seneviratne said the digital electricity bill will also be sent via email.
Plans are in place to implement the program across Sri Lanka, based on the success of the pilot project.
