Sri Lanka’s Central Bank seeks foreign currency donations
Sri Lanka’s Central Bank has published a notice seeking foreign currency donations to overcome the present social, economic, and financial hardships.
The Central Bank said that it assures that all foreign currency donations will be utilized only to import much-needed essential items such as medicine, fuel, and food.
It added that a committee consisting of three senior Central Bank officers has been appointed to ensure the transparency of the receipts and the utilization of the donations.
The receipt and utilization of funds of these accounts are subjected to a periodic independent audit, it added. (Notice can be viewed below)
