PS member, three others held in antique deal
Seethawakapura Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) member and three others have been arrested by Hatton Police on suspicion of buying antique coins, electronics and statues, including a valampuri on Wednesday night.
The suspects and the small van they were travelling in were taken into custody at around 8.30 pm on a tip off that the suspects had come to Hatton and discussed with a group to buy the goods.
The suspects had exchanged photos of the antiques through the WhatsApp social media on their mobile phones. Police are investigating.
