Family dispute ends in murder
A murder has been reported in the Madurankuliya area in the Mundalama Police Division.
The mother of the deceased had an illicit affair, and police investigations have revealed that the murder was committed by the man from the mother's illicit affair.
The deceased has been identified as a 28-year-old resident of Madurankuliya.
The body is being kept at the Puttalam Base Hospital for postmortem examination and the Mundalama Police will conduct further investigations.
Meanwhile, a murder has been reported in the Sarasavi Place area in the Angulana police division.
The murder was the result of a long-running family dispute between the sister's husband and the deceased.
The deceased has been identified as a 40-year-old resident of Angulana.
Angulana police will conduct further investigations.
