President meets Subramanian Swamy
A friendly meeting between senior BJP politician and Member of the State Council of India Subramanian Swamy and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa took place at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (13).
Subramaniam Swamy, who has held several Ministerial portfolios, advocated for a strong friendly relationship between Sri Lanka and India and stressed that India should assist in defeating terrorism in Sri Lanka.
Swamy, an economist and statistician, was also a speaker at conferences organized by the President during his tenure as Secretary of Defence.
The President expressed his pleasure to meet Subramaniam Swamy again during his visit this time.
