Number of infected pregnant mothers increase
Public Health Specialist Dr. Chitramali de Silva stated that 70 pregnant mothers who were infected with COVID-19 are currently being treated at the hospitals.
Speaking further she added that, pregnant mothers and children are more likely to be infected with the new variant of the COVID-19 that is currently spreading in Sri Lanka.
She urged the parents to only provide homemade meals for the children, while their immunity must be protected and improved by providing fruits, vegetables and other foods that are rich in Vitamin C.
