7 GN divisions in 4 districts have been isolated with immediate effect.

Piliyandala police area in Colombo district, Orrs Hill & Anpuvalipuram GN divisions in Trincomalee District, Walana North, Wakada West & Kiriberiya GN divisions in Kalutara District & Neeladandahinna GN division in Nuwaraeliya District.

In addition Grama Niladhari Divisions in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Trincomalee, Moneragala, Ampara, Matale, Galle, Kurunegala, Polonnaruwa, Nuwara Eliya and Ratnapura Districts have been isolated.

Meanwhile, Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena stated that travel restrictions have been tightened in isolated areas.

The government has also decided to close schools islandwide until the 7th.

Also, all Catholic and Anglican schools will be closed until the 7th of this month. Dhamma schools have also been closed indefinitely due to the current Coronavirus epidemic.
