COVID patient caseload increases to 93,993
With 221 new COVID cases reported, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has increased to 93,993.
Of the new cases reported, 178 were from the Peliyagoda COVID cluster and 12 were from the prison cluster.
Thirty-one foreign nationals were identified as newly infected.
Accordingly, 2485 people are being treated at the hospital and 90,917 have recovered.
Also, the number of coronavirus related deaths in the country has increased to 591 with 03 corona deaths being reported yesterday (07).
