Parts of Delhi-NCR Receives Light Showers, Mercury Drops

Delhi and parts of the national capital region (NCR) woke up to light rains on Friday morning as the minimum temperature settled at 17.9 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average, officials said. The weatherman has predicted for the day a generally cloudy sky with light rain or thundershower accompanied with gusty wind (speed 30-40 kmph) with hail.

The relative humidity recorded at 8:30 am was 70 per cent, the officials said. According to the meteorological department, the maximum temperature is likely to settle around 32 degrees Celsius. Delhi, with a maximum temperature of 35.2 degrees Celsius, recorded the hottest day of the year on Thursday.
