One dead & 3 injured after two groups clash over Pigeons dispute
One person has died, while three others have been injured following a clash between two parties in the Kadayakulam area in Puttalam.
The injured individuals have been admitted to the Puttalam Base Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as a 35-year-old father of three from the Mullipuram area in Puttalam.
The Police said the clash had occurred over a long -standing dispute between the two groups over pigeons.
One group is said to have visited the residence of a member of the other group, during which the clash had broken out, resulting in the death of one.
The Police said the victim reportedly had no connection to the issue, and is said to have been stabbed while passing the clash on the way to his sister’s residence.
