15 arrested over illegal motor race in Biyagama
Fifteen suspects along with three motorcycles and six three-wheelers have been arrested in Biyagama on charges of participating in illegal motor races.
According to the Daily Mirror, the suspects were arrested at the Siyabalape Junction in Biyagama last morning.
The Police said the unlawful motor race was organized via Facebook with monetary rewards.
The three -wheelers seized by the Biyagama Police were found to have been modified for the races.
The suspects are said to be between the ages of 16- 32 and were produced before Court yesterday.
Seven of the suspects have been remanded till today, while the others were released on bail.
