Governor Muzammil’s daughter to contest UK local elections

Sri Lankan born Shazna Muzammil will contest the 2021 Milton Keynes Council elections in the United Kingdom (UK).

Shazna has been selected as a candidate after winning a nomination from the Conservative Party.

Her representation will cover Denbigh East, Fenny Stratford, Water Eaton, Lakes Estate and Milton Keynes.

The 2021 Milton Keynes Council elections is set for 06 May, 2021.

Shazna Muzamil is the daughter of Uva Province Governor A.J.M. Muzammil.

She has obtained a MSc in Development Management from the Open University in the UK and MBA from the Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Shazna identifies herself as a volunteer and an appropriate adult with the Milton Keynes Youth Offending Team and mentor with Children heard and Seen an organization supporting children whose parent is in prison.

“I am a community Covid champion, NHS responder and a volunteer vaccinator. I am a firm believer in community involvement to uplift our neighbourhoods and is interested in collaborative ways of helping small and large local businesses succeed beyond this pandemic,” she has revealed on her official Facebook page.

Commenting on the upcoming election, she said she is looking forward to being the Conservative representative in the local council for the ward of Bletchley East which covers Denbigh East, Fenny Stratford, Water Eaton, Lakes Estate and Newton Leys in Milton Keynes.
