Police officer interdicted for misbehaving with woman in quarantine
A 53 year old policeman has been interdicted with immediate effect after he was found to be allegedly trying to misbehave with a young woman in Thalathuoya police area in Kandy.
The policeman has allegedly entered a house where the young woman was self isolating due to the Corona virus, saying that the house needed to be checked.
Action has been taken against the said police officer after the woman has complained to her relatives and they had brought it to the attention of senior police officials.
Senior Superintendent of Police for Kandy division, Sudath Masingha has said that apart from interdicting the police officer, he will be arrested and proper legal action will be taken against him.
