Discussions to held today over difficulties faced by private bus owners
State Minister of Money & Capital Market and State Enterprise Reforms, Ajith Nivard Cabraal and Private Bus Owners' Associations are set to hold crucial discussions today (07).
It is said that the proposal made by the bus unions to extend the leasing concessions as well as many other problems faced by the industry will be taken into consideration.
Last week, the bus unions announced that they would launch a strike if the current crisis in the industry was not properly managed.
They also warned that it would most likely have to be implemented this week.
With this statement, on 05 February, the Sri Lanka Transport Board announced that all employees' leave will be cancelled until further notice.
