Colombo Port Eastern Terminal: Discussion to be held tomorrow
Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage stated that a discussion will be held with the President tomorrow regarding the crisis situation that has arisen regarding the Eastern Terminal of the Colombo Port.
He stated the above while addressing a media briefing in Kandy yesterday.
The government has no plans to sell or lease to India, he said, adding that in addition to Adani, a Japanese and local company has also come forward to invest in the project.
However, the Minister further stated that a final decision is yet to be taken by the Cabinet or the Government in this regard.
