Park & Ride city bus service commences from today
In an effort to reduce the traffic congestion in the Colombo suburbs, the pilot project Park and Ride - City bus service is set to commence today (15) from the Makumbura Multimodal Transport Center. The first phase will commence using 25 buses.
Those who arrive in their private vehicles will be able to park their vehicles in a parking lot and travel to the city of Colombo in luxury buses belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board.
Vehicle Regulation, Bus Transport Services, Train Compartments and Motor Car Industry State Minister Dilum Amunugama stated that all facilities including Wi-Fi have been provided in these buses.
