Party leaders meeting in two days
A meeting of party leaders is scheduled for the 13th to decide on next week's parliamentary sessions.
The Parliamentary Communications Department stated that the party leaders' meeting convened that afternoon will also discuss the holding of parliamentary sittings next week in the wake of the recent outbreak of the coronavirus among several parliamentarians.
However, Serjeant-at-Arms Narendra Fernando said that this situation would not be an impediment to future parliamentary sessions.
At present 3 Members of Parliament have been identified as having coronavirus infections.
