2020 records lowest dengue caseload in ten years
The Epidemiology Unit states that the lowest number of dengue patients in 10 years was recorded in the year 2020.
The number is 30,802.
The number of dengue patients reported in 2019 was 105,800.
However, with the adverse weather conditions this year, there is a risk of the dengue spreading again, said the Director of the Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Aruna Jayasekara.
