China gifts Rs 16.5 billion grant to Sri Lanka
The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka said that an agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation was signed between Sri Lanka and China providing Rs. 16.5 billion in grant assistance.
Apart from this grant Sri Lanka will also shortly sign an agreement to obtain a US$ 500m concessionary loan from China, The Sunday Times newspaper reported today.
