64 additional train trips for the coming week - long distance not operational
The Railway Department has taken steps to increase the number of train journeys on all routes from tomorrow.
Accordingly, 64 trips on the main route will be activated.
The Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters' Association stated that 74 journeys on the coastal route, 12 journeys on the Kelani Valley route, 6 journeys on the Northern Railway route and 26 journeys on the Puttalam route have been added this week.
The General Secretary of the association Kasun Chamara Jayasekara stated that these journeys have been added to the train schedule and long distance services will no longer be operational
