Female body found on Hikkaduwa beach
A dead body of a woman was found floating on the beach in front of the Hikkaduwa Police today.
The deceased has been identified as a 64 year old woman residing in the Kalupe area in Hikkaduwa.
Her shoes were also found on the beach and her body was taken to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for an autopsy.
Investigations have revealed that the deceased woman had disappeared from the house two days ago, police stated.
