Commuters only according to seats - standing prohibited
The Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena has issued a number of guidelines to be followed for commuting on public transport.
Accordingly, it is mandatory to carry passengers only according to the number of seats in public transport and no passenger can travel standing.
The relevant criteria also include that action should be taken against those who do not act in accordance with the provisions of the Quarantine and Prevention of Diseases Ordinance.
