Japanese girl's boyfriend address the media for the first time
The news was reported a few weeks prior regarding a 23-year-old Sri Lankan youth who had allegedly abducted a 15-year-old Japanese girl.
He made a special statement to the media today (14) after appearing in court today after completing the quarantine period at the Pallansena Quarantine Center, following the granting of bail.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the youth who was engaged to the 23-year-old's sister was also assaulted and had sustained injuries from a sharp object.
The incident had taken place after the 23-year-old was granted bail.
Relatives allege that the assault was carried out by the boyfriend of the Japanese girl's mom 'Costa'.
