Five youth arrested for illegally filming using drone camera
Five youths have been arrested for illegally filming near the Anuradhapura Air Force Base using a drone camera.
The youths arrested by the police on a tip-off given by the intelligence officers of the Anuradhapura Air Force Base yesterday (11) have stated that they had filmed using the drone camera for a documentary program on a nearby government school.
However, the investigation has revealed that permission has not been obtained from the Air Force or the Civil Aviation Authority to use the drone camera for the relevant filming.
The police stated that the five youths arrested were residents of Boralesgamuwa, Ganemulla, Kirindiwela, Elvitigala and Moragahahena.
