Report by PCoI on Political Victimization to be given to President on Monday
The final report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to probe incidents of political victimization is expected to be handed over to the President on Monday (07).
A spokesman for the PCoI told News 1st the report will be presented at 04:00 PM at the Presidential Secretariat.
The 2000 page report comprises of 03 volumes.
The Commission is chaired by retired Supreme Court Judge Upali Abeyratne and comprises Retired Appeal Court Judge Daya Chandrasiri Jayatilleka and Retired IGP Chandra Fernando as members.
The Commission, appointed by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa via a special gazette notification, was tasked with investigating alleged political victimization of government and semi-government personnel between January 2015 and November 2019.
