Expenditure of Defence Ministry passed with amendments
The expenditure of the Ministry of Defence was passed with amendments by a majority vote yesterday (03) during the Budget Committee.
A vote was called by the All Ceylon Tamil Congress Party MP Selvarajah Gajendran.
Accordingly, it received 137 votes in favour and only five votes against the 3rd reading of the budget.
Meanwhile, the expenditure of the Ministries of Home Affairs and Disaster Management was also passed in Parliament yesterday (03).
