Minister asks public to name opposition’s ‘Joker’ and message him
Minister K. D. Lal Kantha took a swipe at opposition politicians during a public event, challenging attendees to identify what he described as the “joker” in Sri Lankan opposition politics.
Addressing the gathering, Lal Kantha said, “Send me the name of the joker in Sri Lanka’s opposition politics on WhatsApp. Here’s the number, but don’t call, use WhatsApp only.”
The remark drew attention from those present and was seen as a jab directed at opposition figures, although the minister did not name any individual.
