Galle traders fined Rs. 200,000 for selling rice above MRP
The Galle Additional Magistrate’s Court has imposed fines on two traders who pleaded guilty to selling rice above the stipulated Maximum Retail Price (MRP).
According to the Consumer Affairs Authority, fines of Rs. 100,000 each, totalling Rs. 200,000, were imposed.
