President reviews ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ 2026 Action Plan

A special discussion on the 2026 Action Plan of the Clean Sri Lanka programme and the progress achieved in the previous year was held today (17) at the Presidential Secretariat under the leadership of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

According to the President’s Office, the meeting focused on how the projects proposed for 2026 should be organized in ways that bring them closer to the people.

President Dissanayake stressed that the programme must not remain confined to a state initiative, but should be expanded through community‑oriented projects to ensure wider public participation and impact.

Officials also reviewed the progress made in the past year and outlined how relevant parties will be engaged to achieve the targets set for the upcoming year.

Among those present were Presidential Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Convener of the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat; Senior Additional Secretary to the President Russel Aponsu; Additional Secretary S.P.C. Sugeeshwara; members of the Clean Sri Lanka Task Force; and senior officials of the Secretariat.
