Fire Erupts in Narahenpita Apartment Complex | Six People Hospitalized
A fire broke out early this (29) morning on the fifth floor of a housing complex located on Dabare Mawatha, Narahenpita, prompting an urgent response from the Colombo Municipal Council’s Fire Brigade.
According to fire department officials, five firefighting units were deployed to the scene to contain the blaze. Emergency crews worked swiftly to rescue several individuals trapped inside, ensuring their safe evacuation.
Police confirmed that six people were hospitalized due to smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and authorities are assessing the extent of the damage.
