Two Leptospirosis Deaths Reported in Sri Lanka in First Four Days of 2025
During the first four days of 2025, two deaths from Leptospirosis have been reported, one each from the Jaffna and Batticaloa districts.
Thushani Dabrera, an Epidemiologist at the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health, revealed that Jaffna District has reported a total of 9 Leptospirosis deaths so far in 2025.
A total of 203 deaths due to leptospirosis were reported in 2024.
