Second Reading of the 2025 Budget Proposal Scheduled for February 17
The second reading of the 2025 Budget Proposal, also known as the Appropriation Bill, is scheduled to be presented in Parliament on February 17.
This decision was made during a meeting of the Steering Committee on Parliamentary Affairs held yesterday, as confirmed by the Parliament Secretary General, Kushani Rohanadheera.
The budget debate will take place over 21 days, starting from February 18 until March 21.
The first reading of the Appropriation Bill for the year 2025 will take place on January 9.
