PUCSL Nears Decision on CEB's Electricity Tariff Revision Proposal

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) says that it is approaching a final conclusion regarding the proposal presented by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) concerning electricity tariff revisions, using its own studies and public opinion.

The Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission, Professor K.P.L. Chandralal, stated that studies related to this matter have already commenced.

He further mentioned that the process of gathering public opinions will begin in about two weeks.

The CEB has proposed to maintain the current electricity tariffs for the first six months of the next year.

The CEB submitted its proposal regarding the electricity tariff revision to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka last Friday.
