
Spread of rat fever spreading with floods - PHIs.
The Public Health Inspector's Union of Sri Lanka said there is a risk of rat fever or leptospirosis spreading in flooded areas.
Chairman Upul Rohana said they are currently working to provide early treatment to prevent people from being infected with rat fever.
He added there is also a high risk of diseases transmitted by flies and dengue spreading, due to the flood situation.
