Over 550,000 appeals filed with regard to Aswesuma
The Ministry of Finance said over 550,000 appeals and objections have been filed with regard to the Aswesuma welfare benefit scheme.
The Ministry said committees were established at divisional secretariats to investigate the appeals and objections.
The public can file appeals and objections till the 10th of July.
Groups that lost the Samurdhi benefit through the Aswesuma welfare benefit scheme held protests across the country on Tuesday (04) as well.
