Department for Registration of Persons closed until further notice
All offices of the Department for Registration of Persons closed until further notice according to the Commissioner General of the department.
However, those who require National Identity Cards for urgent matters such as examinations, interviews and obtaining passports can obtain information from the Colombo Head Office at 011 5226126 and 011 5226100.
Information can be obtained by contacting the Provincial Office of the Department of Registration of Persons in the Southern Province on 091 2228348 and the North-Western Provincial Office on 037 2224337.
In addition, the people of the Eastern Province can contact the Provincial Office on 065 2229449 and the people in the North can contact the Northern Provincial Office on 024 2227201.
