Police officers on long distance buses leaving Colombo from today
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana states that 07 persons were killed in road accidents yesterday (04).
He further stated that most of these accidents involved motorcycles.
The Police Media Spokesman stated that the period from 10th to 20th of April is the period with the highest number of road accidents in the country.
Meanwhile, the police stated that it has been decided to deploy plainclothes police officers from today to monitor the driving of long distance buses plying from Colombo
