Import ban: Vehicle Importers Association gives update on Govt. discussion
The Government has informed the ban imposed on vehicle importations is unlikely to be lifted this year, the Vehicle Importers Association said.
According to Hiru News, Vehicle Importers Association Chairman Sampath Merenchige said the decision was informed during discussions with the Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardena.
The Government imposed a ban on vehicle imports in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
