20 year old Karthika and 19 year old Sneha had big dreams, dreams that were on their way to fulfillment through their studies in France.

The nation known for romance ultimately consumed the two innocent girls in their quest in search of true love. They woudl have never imagined the fate as they got involved with two young Tamil boys in France.

The two young men from their own country, culture and ethnicity eventfully stood in between their dreams and the hopes and aspirations of all their loved ones.

Two Tamil female students from Jaffna who were studying for their medical degree in France have been killed by two young men within the shorty space of five days

According to our Vavuniya correspondent the killings have been as a result of estranged love affairs.

A 20 year old girl named Karthika a resident of Alampiddy, Jaffna was stabbed to death by her Sri Lankan Tamil boyfriend on the 13th of this month.

Meanwhile 19 year old Sneha Chandrarasa who had gone to France from Manduvil area in Jaffna has been strangled to death by her boyfriend on the 8th.

Our correspondent further stated that the suspects have not been arrested, according to information received from the relatives of the two girls in France.

The French police have found photographs of the two suspects in the possession of the victims.

It is reported that investigations are underway to arrest them with the help of security camera footage.
